Have you been asked to take part in a driving assessment? Do you need to provide evidence that you are 'fit' to drive?
At Pass it! Driving Academy we can help. The assessment will last around 1 hour and 30 mins. (1 Hour driving assessment and 30 mins filling out relevant paperwork). The drive will take place in your personal car. We will then use a DVSA Standard Driving assessment form, following relevant competencies.
The law requires you to read a number plate at 20 metres. Any other visual impairment may require further investigation. The assessment drive is designed to gauge your reaction to standard everyday driving conditions. The route is designed to check that you are in full control of the vehicle, you are aware of what is going on around you and you are able to make safe decisions.
To 'pass' the driving assessment you must score 'A's and 'B's in all areas. If you get a mark below this, we may need to incorporate some driver training to meet the minimum standard required. If additional training is required this will be arranged after the assessment has taken place, for an additional fee.
Please see the scoring below:
A - Consistantly Safe and responsible driving.
B - Safe and responsible driving but with minor lapses - driver development would be beneficial.
C - Important lapse(s) indicating driver development required to reach minimum driving standard.
D - Dangerous action(s) indicating driving is not safe.
